Hot Cheese Puffs

A great make-ahead appetizer. Make, freeze and serve when needed. Little puffs of heaven.
Ingredients:
1 loaf firm unsliced white bread
1 pkg. (3 oz) cream cheese
1/4 lb sharp cheese
1/2 cup margarine (1 stick)
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Directions:
1. Trim crusts from bread. Cut 1 inch cubes.
2. Melt cheeses and butter over water.
3. Remove and fold in egg whites.
4. Using 2 forks, dip the bread cubes into the cheese mixture.
5. Put these dipped cubes onto a cookie sheet. Cover and store in refrigerator overnight.
6. Bake 400 degrees for 8 minutes. Serve Hot
7. OR: Freeze and bake at 450 degrees for 8 minutes or a golden brown. Serve Hot.
