Hot Cakes Pancakes

Serving size depends on how big you make them and how many one person eats. My grandmother gave me this recipe. My granddad was from Tenn. Mountains so I think it came from there. They are very good.
Ingredients:
1-1/4 cup flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg
1 cup sweet milk
2 tbsp oil
butter
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together until smooth.
2. Heat a skillet on medium to medium high.
3. Place a pat of butter in the skillet and when it starts to sizzle
4. butter the skillet lightly. Immediately pour batter into skillet making
5. them any size you want them,.. When the hot cakes start to bubble,
6. turn them over. When the other side is a light brown, remove the hot
7. cakes onto a platter.
8. Repeat until you use all of the batter.
9. Serve with butter and syrup, or fruits.
10. NOTE.. You can use oil instad of butter, if you perfer.
11. I use my flat grill because I can cook 6 at a time on it.
