Hot Buttered Brandy Cider |

Made with apple brandy instead of rum. Delicious for cold weather! Ingredients:
3 cups calvados (apple brandy) |
7 tablespoons packed brown sugar |
7 tablespoons butter |
12 cups unfiltered apple cider |
3/4 cup fresh lemon juice |
12 cinnamon sticks |
whole nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Combine Calvados, sugar, and butter in large sauce pan over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves and butter melts. 2. Add cider and lemon juice; bring to low simmer but not a boil. 3. Place cinnamon stick in each serving cup. Pour hot cider into cups and grate small amount of fresh nutmeg over each. Serve hot. |
