Hot Beef Sandwiches Au Jus |

A recipe from the book that came with my Crock Pot. Ingredients:
4 lbs rump roast |
2 ounces dry onion soup mix |
2 teaspoons sugar |
1 teaspoon oregano |
1 tablespoon minced garlic |
2 (10 1/2 ounce) cans beef broth |
1 (12 ounce) bottle beer |
16 crusty french rolls |
Directions:
1. Trim excess fat from beef. 2. Place in slow cooker. 3. Mix soup mix, sugar, oregano, garlic, broth and beer in mixing bowl. 4. Pour mixture over meat. 5. Cover and cook on high for 6-8 hours or until meat is tender. 6. With 2 forks, shred meat in pot juices. |
