A nutritious dish to add to your brunch table. Ingredients:
8 ounces pitted prunes |
8 ounces dried apricots |
1/3 cup raisins |
1 (15 ounce) can pineapple chunks, undrained |
1 (16 ounce) can cherry pie filling |
1/4 cup dry sherry |
1 cup water |
1/3 cup blanched slivered almonds |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). 2. In a deep baking dish, mix together prunes, dried apricots, raisins, and pineapple chunks. In a separate bowl, combine cherry pie filling, sherry, and water. Pour over the fruit, and blend thoroughly. Stir in almonds. 3. Cover, and bake in preheated oven for 1 1/2 hours. |
