This recipe came from Lazarus Department Stores' restaurant in Columbus, Ohio. It is very good. Ingredients:
1/4 cup flour |
1 1/4 cups sugar |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
2 cups water |
1 cup cider vinegar |
1/4 lb bacon, diced |
1 1/2 teaspoons bacon fat |
Directions:
1. Combine flour, sugar and salt. 2. Mix well with part of water (about 1/2 cup). 3. Heat vinegar and remaining water. 4. Add to flour mixture, stirring well. 5. Fry bacon until crisp and drain, reserving 1 1/2 tsp. 6. of bacon fat. 7. Add bacon and bacon fat to dressing mixture and cook to desired consistency. |
