Hot And Spicy Sauteed Mushrooms |

When I grill steaks for entertaining, I make a batch of these and a batch of less spicy mushrooms. The flavors of these wake up your tastebuds. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, divided |
1 pound fresh mushrooms (i use baby bellas), sliced |
1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped |
1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped |
1/4 cup green onions, thinly sliced |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
1/4 cup red wine |
1/2 teaspoon cajun or creole seasoning |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. In large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons butter. 2. Saute mushrooms until tender. 3. Remove mushrooms from pan and set aside. 4. Add remaining butter to skillet. 5. Add green pepper, red pepper and green onions. Saute until softened. 6. Add garlic and saute 1 minute. 7. Add wine and seasonings. 8. Return mushrooms to skillet and simmer 2 to 3 minutes. |
