Beets are one of my favorite vegetables, and this dish is a wonderful side dish complement to a nice roast. Ingredients:
2 cups beets (canned or fresh cooked) |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
1 tablespoon butter |
1/4 teaspoon minced onion |
1/2 teaspoon caraway seed |
1/4 teaspoon oregano |
2 tablespoons vinegar |
Directions:
1. Boil ingredients 2-6 until liquid is reduced to about half. 2. Add beets. 3. Simmer only to heat and blend flavor. |
