Ingredients:
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion |
2 1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine |
2 egg yolks, beaten |
1 cup whipping cream |
2 tablespoons prepared horseradish |
Directions:
1. Sauté onion in butter in a heavy saucepan until tender. Strain butter and onion mixture through a sieve into beaten egg yolks. Add whipping cream; stir well. Cook yolk mixture in top of a double boiler over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Stir in horseradish; serve hot or cold. |
