Ingredients:
1 cup(s) black eye peas |
2 teaspoon(s) celery seed |
4 cube(s) chicken boullion |
6 cup(s) chicken broth |
2 cup(s) fresh torn spinach |
2 clove(s) garlic |
1/2 cup(s) green pepper |
1 pound(s) ham- chopped |
1 cup(s) onion- chopped |
1/2 teaspoon(s) red pepper |
1/2 cup(s) rice |
2 cup(s) tomaotes with sauce |
2 cup(s) water |
Directions:
1. Heat peas, water, broth to boiling. Cover and let stand 1 hour.Stir in red pepper and ham. Let stand 1 1/2 hours. Stir in rice and all but spinach. Simmer 25 minutes. Chop spinach, add to soup and heat through. |
