Hoosier's Chili Ingredients:
2 lbs. lean ground beef/turkey |
2 medium onions, chopped |
3 stalks celery, chopped |
1 green pepper, chopped |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
1 qt. (32 oz.) beef stock |
2 cans (16 oz.) stewed tomatoes |
3 cups (24 oz.) tomato juice |
1 tbsp. brown sugar |
3 tbsp. chili powder |
1/2 cup elbow macaroni |
1 can (16 oz.) kidney beans |
Directions:
1. Brown beef with onion; drain fat 2. Add celery, green pepper and garlic; cooking until vegetables are tender 3. Add next 5 ingredients (all except macaroni and beans) 4. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 90 minutes 5. Add macaroni and beans 6. Cook another 20 minutes |
