Tired of plain old peanut butter? Try this slightly sweet alternative made from nutritious walnuts. It's a deliciously different spread for toast, bagels and English muffins. Ingredients:
1 cup chopped walnuts, toasted |
pinch salt |
3 tablespoons canola oil |
2 tablespoons honey |
apple wedges |
Directions:
1. Place walnuts and salt in a food processor. Cover and process until nuts are finely ground. 2. Add oil and honey; cover and process until mixture forms a smooth paste. Chill until serving. Serve with apple wedges. Yield: 3/4 cup. |
