We love this variation of pork tenderloin. It's excellent served over rice. Delicious! The prep time does not include marinating, which is 2 hours. Enjoy! Ingredients:
1 lb whole pork tenderloin |
1/2 cup soy sauce (i recommend using low-sodium soy sauce) |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated |
1 tablespoon sesame oil |
1/4 cup honey |
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar |
4 tablespoons sesame seeds |
Directions:
1. Combine soy sauce, ginger, garlic and sesame oil. 2. Place tenderloin in a resealable plastic food storage bag and pour the soy sauce mixture into it. 3. Marinate for 2 hours in the refrigerator. **I do not recommend marinating this any longer than 2 hours - as the pork will become too salty tasting**. 4. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 5. Remove pork from marinade and pat dry with a paper towel. 6. Mix honey and brown sugar on a plate. (You could use a whisk if you're having trouble mixing these ingredients.). 7. Place sesame seeds on another plate. 8. Roll pork in honey mixture and then roll in the sesame seeds. 9. Roast in a shallow pan for 20 to 30 minutes or until meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part registers 160 degrees. 10. Suggested to serve over rice. |
