This is for when the rhubarb comes on. Ingredients:
1 lb. rhubarb...cut in pieces |
3/4 c. of sugar |
1 tsp. nutmeg.....dash of salt |
2 tbsps. water |
6 tbsps. butter or margarine (melted) |
1/2 c. of honey |
5 slices of bread cut in cubes |
Directions:
1. Combine rhubarb, sugar, nutmeg, salt and water in a 10 x 6 x 1 1/2 baking dish. 2. Blend melted butter, honey and bread cubes....spoon over rhubarb. 3. Bake at 375 about 30 minutes or until topping is light golded brown. 4. Makes 6 servings. |
