An old family favorite I ran across. Just a little twist on the usual pumpkin pie. Ingredients:
2 eggs,slightly beaten |
2 c. cooked mashed pumpkin or a 16 oz. can |
3/4 c. honey |
1 tsp. cinnamon |
1/2 tsp. salt |
1/2 tsp. ginger |
1/2 tsp. cloves |
1 c. evaporated milk |
1 deep dish unbaked pie shell |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425°F. 2. Mix all ingredients well and pour into pie shell. 3. Bake for 15 minutes. 4. Reduce oven temp to 350°F and bake for another 45 minutes or until set and a knife inserted in middle comes out clean. |
