This light, tender, slightly sweet bread is so good with butter and honey on it. It is also great toasted for breadfast. I fixed this in my dough cycle in the bread machine and then bake it in my regular oven. Depending on the humidity, you may have to add a little more flour. Ingredients:
1 cup warm water |
1/4 cup honey |
1 1/2 tablespoons butter, melted |
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
3/8 cup quick-cooking oats |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 1/2 teaspoons dry yeast |
Directions:
1. Place ingredients in order given for your particular bread machine. 2. Press dough cycle . 3. Remove and let rest for a couple minutes. 4. Roll out and form into loaf. 5. Place in a greased 8-1/2x4-1/2 loaf pan. 6. Cover. 7. Let rise in a warm place until double for approximately 30 minutes. 8. Bake in 350 degree preheated oven for 30 minutes. |
