These are awesome! sweet and gooey and oh so good! Ingredients:
2 (1/4 ounce) packages active dry yeast |
1/2 cup warm water (110 - 115) |
2 eggs |
1/4 cup sugar |
3 tablespoons butter, melted |
2 teaspoons salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup packed brown sugar |
1/3 cup honey |
1/4 cup butter |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
2 tablespoons butter, melted |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
1/4 cup packed brown sugar |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in water. 2. Add eggs, sugar, butter, salt and vanilla; mix well. 3. Add 2 cups of flour; beat until smooth. 4. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. 5. Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. 6. Place in a greased bowl; turn once to grease top. 7. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 1/2 hours. 8. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, honey, butter and salt; bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. 9. Boil for 1 minute. 10. Pour into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan; sprinkle with pecans. 11. Set aside. 12. Punch dough down. 13. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; roll into a 24 x 8 inch rectangle; brush with butter to within 1 inch of edges. 14. Combine the pecans, brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over butter. 15. Roll up from long side; seal seam. 16. Cut into 1 inch slices; place cut side down in pan. 17. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes. 18. Bake at 350°F for 25-28 minutes or until golden brown. 19. Cool 1 minute; invert onto a serving platter. |
