An easy-to-make, dressing or stuffing recipe idea with whole-grain brown rice, crunchy walnuts, and sweet raisins. Ingredients:
1 cup minuteĀ® brown rice, uncooked |
1 tablespoon margarine |
1/4 cup chopped walnuts |
3/4 cup chopped onion |
3/4 cup chopped celery |
1/2 cup raisins |
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional) |
2 tablespoons honey |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Prepare rice according to package directions. 2. Melt margarine in a large skillet over medium heat. Add walnuts; cook and stir until lightly toasted. Add onions and celery; cook and stir until crisp-tender. 3. Stir in rice and remaining ingredients. Heat thoroughly, stirring occasionally. |
