This delicious concoction of honey, nuts and fruit is amazing on its own or with pancakes. Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounces butter |
3 -4 tablespoons honey |
4 bananas, sliced half lengthways |
1 -2 tablespoon rum |
1 -2 tablespoon pecans, chopped |
ice cream, to serve |
Directions:
1. Melt butter with honey in a heavy-based frying pan and cook until just beginning to brown. 2. Place the bananas in the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally, until caramelized. 3. Add a good splash of rum to the pan and allow to evaporate, then sprinkle with chopped pecans and serve with ice cream. |
