This is a natural beauty product that is easy to make. You can find beeswax at a natural food and health store. instead of melting in a heatproof glass you may also do this in a double boiler. Cook time is an estimate... Ingredients:
2 teaspoons dried mint |
2 teaspoons dried sage |
2 teaspoons dried rosemary |
1/2 cup water, boiling |
1/2 ounce beeswax |
2 ounces lanolin |
1/2 cup wheat germ oil |
1 teaspoon honey |
Directions:
1. Combine herbs in cleal bowl& and pour 1/2 cup boiling water over herbs; steep 10 mins. 2. Strain through very fine sieve, collecting liquid in clean bowl. 3. Cool; discard herbs. 4. Melt beeswax& lanolin in heatproof glass in simmering water. 5. Add wheat germ oil, while stirring. 6. Add herbal infusion by teaspoonful and stir until well blended. 7. Remove glass from water. 8. Add honey to tepid cream and carefully stir til blended. 9. Cool completely. 10. Stir cream thoroughly and transfer to clean containers with tight fitting lids. 11. Store up to 3 months. |
