Honey Ginger Feijoa Frozen Yogurt

Ingredients:
5 guavas (feijoas)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon fresh gingerroot, grated
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 1/4 cups 1% low-fat milk
1/4 cup honey
1 cup plain low-fat yogurt, stirred
Directions:
1. Halve the feijoas; scoop out the pulp and discard the shell.
2. In a blender or food processor fitted with a metal blade, puree the feijoa pulp, lemon juice and ginger.
3. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and cornstarch; stir in the milk and honey.
4. Cook and stir until the mixture simmers.
5. Cook for 1 minute longer; remove from the heat.
6. Add the pureed feijoas.
7. Stir in the yogurt.
8. Freeze in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's directions.
