Ingredients:
3 tablespoons shortening |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 egg |
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup milk |
honey-crisp topping |
Directions:
1. Cream shortening and sugar; add egg, beating well. 2. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. 3. Pour batter into a greased 9- inch square cake pan. Spread Honey - Crisp Topping evenly over batter. Bake at 400° for 25 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Cut into squares to serve. |
