This time i saw this online!! look and sound good! Ingredients:
salt |
flour |
6 shallots |
2 tbs honey |
1/3 cup water |
1.5kg chicken |
2 tsp cornflour |
2 tsp soy sauce |
oil for deep frying |
1/3 cup lemon juice |
1 tbs chinese chili sauce |
2.5cm piece green ginger |
Directions:
1. Cut chicken into serving size pieces then coat the pieces lightly with flour which has been seasoned with salt. 2. Fry half the chicken in deep hot oil until golden brown then reduce heat and cook until chicken is cooked through. 3. Remove from oil and drain on absorbent paper then repeat the process with the remaining chicken then pour off excess oil leaving 1 tablespoon left in pan. Add peeled and grated ginger to pan and saute gently for 1 minute. 4. Add honey and stir for 1 more minute. Add combined cornflour, water, chili sauce, lemon juice and soy sauce and stir until sauce boils and thickens. 5. Add chicken and toss in sauce for 3 minutes or until chicken is heated through. Add sliced shallots and cook the Honey Chili Chicken for further 1 minute. Serve with a bowl of steamed rice. |
