Honey-Cardamom Mixed Nuts |

Cardamon has a spicy sweet flavor giving this appetizer a very interesting flavor. I found this recipe in Betty Crocker's Appetizers book (Jan. 2004) Ingredients:
1/4 cup honey |
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine, melted |
3/4 teaspoon ground cardamom |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves |
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger |
2 (20 ounce) jars deluxe salted mixed nuts (no peanuts) |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 275°F. 2. Spray a jelly roll pan, 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch, with cooking spray. 3. Mix all ingredients except nuts in large bowl. 4. Add nuts; stir to coat. 5. Spread nuts in pan. 6. Bake 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. 7. Cool in pan, stirring occasionally. |
