This is one of my favorite quick cakes to throw together, your going to love this one. Ingredients:
1 yellow cake mix |
2/3 c oil |
4 eggs |
8 oz sour cream |
1 cup packed brown sugar |
1/3 c chopped pecans |
2 tsp cinnamon |
1 c powdered sugar |
1 tbsp milk |
1 tsp vanilla |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 9x13 pan. 2. Beat cake mix, oil, eggs and sour cream in a large bowl on medium 3. speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Spread half the batter 4. in the pan. 5. Stir together brown sugar, pecans and cinnamon. Sprinkle over batter 6. in pan. Carefully spread remaining batter evenly over pecan mixture. 7. Bake about 45 minutes or until deep golden brown (I baked mine for 40 minutes). 8. Stir together powdered sugar, milk and vanilla. Add additional milk 9. if needed to make thin enough to spread. Prick surface of warm cake several times with a fork. Spread icing evenly over cake (it will be a thin layer of glaze). Cool completly. 10. 12-15 servings |
