This is from The Unwatched Pot. The recipe doesn't say whether or not to drain the beans. I'm guessing no. Are they still baked beans if they don't actually get baked? Ingredients:
2 cups dried black-eyed peas |
6 slices bacon, diced |
1 onion, minced |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
1 teaspoon powdered ginger |
3/4 cup honey |
Directions:
1. Cover peas with water and cook on low overnight. 2. Fry bacon until crisp; discard fat. 3. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. 4. Cook on low 8-9 hours. |
