Stew Ingredients:
2 lb eye of round steak, cut up |
2 tbsp olive oil |
4 c water |
2 medium onions, cut up |
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce |
1/2 c ketchup |
1 tsp salt |
1 tsp basil |
2 c sliced carrots |
3 c potatoes, cut bite size |
1 c frozen peas |
1 tbsp flour |
2 tbsp water |
Directions:
1. Brown meat in olive oil in large saucepan. 2. Add first amount of water, onion, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt and basil. Cover and simmer until almost tender, about 1 1/2 hours. 3. Add carrots and potatoes. Boil until tender, about 15 minutes. 4. Add peas. Boil 3 minutes more. Add more water if needed. If desireed, gravy may be thickened by mixing flour and second amount of water. Mix until smooth. Stir into boiling juice to thicken. |
