Easy and economical. Ideal for rinsing produce when you cannot get or afford to buy Organic. Removes a lot of residue like chemicals, pesticides and other matter quickly and easily. I saw this on Oprah and had to share! NOTE: Make sure to mix this in a DEEP pitcher. The baking soda and vinegar will react and foam everywhere if you do not. (just ask any elementary school kid who has ever made a volcano for science class) Ingredients:
1 cup water |
1 cup vinegar |
1 tablespoon baking soda |
20 drops grapefruit seed extract (you can find this in your healthy food store, natural antibacterial) (optional) |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together in a DEEP pitcher. See note above! 2. Pour into a spray bottle. 3. Spray on fruits and or vegetables and allow to sit for 5 or 10 minutes before rinsing. |
