This is pretty easy and has a little more zip than store bought Ingredients:
1 gallon fresh tomato |
1 quart vinegar |
1 quart sugar |
1/2 teaspoon red pepper |
1 teaspoon allspice |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
1 tablespoon salt |
Directions:
1. crush tomatoes through a colander. 2. combine all ingriedients in a large pan. 3. simmer and stir frequently until desired thickness. |
