Homemade Taai Taai

Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup liquid honey
1 cup water
3 1/3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 pinch salt
1 teaspoon of spirits anise or 1 tablespoon anise
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
nonstick cooking spray
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
2. Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil in a large pan. Remove from heat.
3. When contents are at room temperature, add remaining ingredients. Thoroughly mix together using a wooden spoon.
4. Spray a jelly roll pan with cooking spray.
5. Spread dough on pan and bake for 30 minutes or until lightly brown.
6. Cool on pan and cut into 2 squares.
7. Store in air-tight container.
