Note: When making a batch of pancakes it is best to keep them all flat, one on top of the other, on a plate. Sprinkle sugar between each. Fold them all when ready for service, sprinkle again with sugar and dress neatly overlapping on a serving dish or hot plate. Read more . 100g--250g flour(white or wholemeal) |
pinch--largh pinch salt |
1--2-3 egg |
250ml--625ml milk |
10g--25g melted butter,margarine or oil |
50g--125g sugar,caster or unrefined |
Directions:
1. 1. Sieve flour and salt into a bowl, make a well in the center. 2. 2. Add the egg and milk, gradually incorporating the flour from the sides, whisk to a smooth batter. 3. 3. Mix in melted butter 4. 4. Heat the pancake pan, clean thoroughly 5. 5. Add a little oil; heat until smoking 6. 6. Add a little mixture to just cover the bottom of the pan thinly. 7. 7. Cook for a few seconds until brown. 8. 8. Turn and cook on the other side. Turn on to a plate. 9. *choose any jam of your choice and dress on top |
