From a French children's book I just bought. Saw this, went in the kitchen and made it immediately, it took about 5 minutes. My French husband says it is better than Nutella. It is grittier, because I couldn't figure out how it to get it really smooth, but it tastes great. Makes enough to exactly fill one French Bonne Maman jam jar. Ingredients:
125 g hazelnuts, reduced to powder so finely ground |
120 g honey |
120 g butter |
2 tablespoons cocoa, for baking |
Directions:
1. Get the hazelnuts as finely ground as possible. My final product was gritty because I couldn't get them powdered enough. It doesn't hurt the taste but if anyone figures out how to make them finer, email me. 2. Melt the butter. 3. Combine the melted butter, cocoa, honey and powdered hazelnuts and mix. 4. Put in some kind of container and keep in the fridge. |
