Great old recipe used annually on 4th of July!!! Ingredients:
6 eggs (well beaten) |
3 3/4 cups sugar |
2 1/4 tablespoons vanilla |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
2 quarts half-and-half |
2 pints whipping cream |
3 cups 2% low-fat milk (2%) |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar and eggs, adding one egg at a time beating well after each addition. 2. Once eggs and sugar are mixed and have become very stiff, add remaining ingrediants and mix throughly. 3. Pour into ice cream maker's freezer. 4. Freeze as directed. |
