A simple sweet to make it can also be used as a last minute additive to your homemade ice cream. I have always loved Honeycomb especially with chocolate Ingredients:
250g (9oz) demerara sugar |
250g (9oz) granulated sugar |
2 tablespoons water |
4 tablespoons golden syrup |
75g (3oz) butter |
60g (2 1/2 oz) glucose liquid |
2 tablespoons baking powder |
to serve |
200g (7oz) melted milk chocolate |
Directions:
1. Line a deep baking tray with baking parchment 2. Put sugar, water, golden syrup, butter and glucose liquid into a pan and bring to the boil 3. When boiling, add the baking powder and shake the pan rigorously. The mixture will puff up 4. Immediately pour the mixture into the lined baking tray and allow to cool 5. To serve, break the honeycomb into chunks and dip into melted chocolate Yummy!! |
