This dish is , a must during the thanksgiving and christmas holidays Ingredients:
2 large hens |
2 large onions |
4 large celery ribs |
2 can cream of chicken soup(undiluted) |
3 tbs. sage |
2 fresh cloves of garlic chrushed |
1/2 tbs. accent(optional) |
1/2 tbs. celery seeds |
salt& pepper to taste |
6 large eggs |
3 large or 8 to 9-inch; homemade cornbread |
Directions:
1. Boil Hens in large pot; about 2 hours or until tender; cool and debone set aside 2. save hen stock 3. mix remaining ingredients together( except cornbread) 4. in x large container add cornbread, hen stock; and the remaining ingredients mix well 5. add hen pieces to mixture 6. bake in center of oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes until set in center and brown. |
