Home made granola bars for our Spa. Loaded with relaxing brain food.
Ingredients:
2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup wheat germ
3/10 cup honey
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
1 ounce unsalted butter
2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 ounce cashew nuts
1 ounce macadamia nuts
1 ounce dried cherries
1 ounce dried cranberries
1 ounce dried blueberries
1 ounce dried apples
1 ounce dried dates
1 1/2 ounce soy protein
3 ounces flax seed
1 ounce coconut flake
Directions:
1. Toast oats, sunflower seeds, almonds, flax seedand wheat germ. stir occasionally.
2. Combine honey, sugar, butter, salt and extract. Cook until sugar has disolved.
3. Add oat mixture to liquid. Combine.
4. Add dried fruits, cocnut, soy powder. Combine.
5. Form into small 1 ounce bars. Let cool.
