Delicious and Easy - make a double batch because it will be gone before you know it! Ingredients:
4 cups old fashioned oats |
1 1/2 cups sliced almonds |
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 cup vegetable oil |
1/4 cup honey |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 1/2 cups raisins or 1 1/2 cups dried cranberries |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. In a bowl mix oats, almonds, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon. In a small saucepan warm the oil and honey. Whisk in vanilla. 2. Carefully pour the liquid over the oat mixture. Stir gently with a wooden spoon until well combined. Spread granola in a 15 x 10 inch baking pan. 3. Bake 40 minutes, stirring carefully every 10 minutes. Transfer pan to a colling rack to cool completely. Stir in dried fruit. Store in airtight container or zip-loc bag. |
