Homemade German Chocolate Cake Frosting |

This is another of my mother's fabulous desserts, she never made the cake from scratch but always the frosting. Ingredients:
6oz can evaporated milk |
2/3 c. sugar |
1/4 c. butter |
1 egg, beaten slightly |
1 tsp vanilla |
1 & 1/3 c flaked coconut |
1/2 cup pecans, chopped |
Directions:
1. Combine milk, sugar, butter and egg in saucepan, stir constantly and bring to a boil. 2. Remove from heat and cool for a few minutes. 3. Stir in vanilla, coconut and pecans. 4. It's ready to frost the cake. |
