Wow! This is a great way to use fresh tomatoes from your garden. This soup is a great addition to your family favorites. Perfect for a cool fall supper. Just add homemade rolls and you are set for a great meal. Ingredients:
2 cups skinned, diced tomatoes |
1/2 cup diced celery |
1/2 cup diced onion |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
4 tablespoons butter |
4 tablespoons flour |
4 cups scalded milk |
1 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Place butter, celery and onions in saucepan. 2. Sauté until they are desired consistency. 3. Add tomatoes and brown sugar. 4. Simmer, covered for about 15 minutes. 5. Stir in flour. 6. Add milk and salt. 7. Heat to boiling. |
