I like eggnog year round, and you can't buy it here unless it's Xmas time. This is my favorite eggnog recipe. Ingredients:
2 eggs, room temperature |
4 tablespoons sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, plus more for serving |
2 cups milk |
2 ounces brandy (optional) |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar until light in color and sugar is dissolved. 2. Whisk in vanilla, nutmeg, milk and brandy, if using. 3. Strain into a small pitcher and chill. 4. Pour into glasses and sprinkle with additional nutmeg. |
