This is incredible. So tasty and so full of great flavors. Enjoy Ingredients:
2 slices bacon finely cut |
1/4 cup minced white onion |
2 tablespoons chopped celery |
10 ounces canned clams (reserve liquid) |
2 cups peeled and diced potatoes |
1/2 cup hot water |
1/4 cup dry vermouth |
1-1/2 cups milk |
2 tablespoons butter |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
1/8 teaspoon white pepper |
Directions:
1. Sauté onion and celery until brown. 2. Add liquid from clams, diced potatoes, water and vermouth. 3. Simmer until potatoes are barely tender. 4. Add clams, milk, butter, salt, cayenne pepper and white pepper. Bring to a boil stirring occasionally then serve hot. |
