A friend sent me this recipe for chorizo. We love chorizo in our house in burritos, an addition to taco filling. You can make it as spicy as you like - this works for us. Make sure to make the day before so it can chill and ripen before cooking. Ingredients:
1 lb. ground lean pork |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 tablespoons chili powder |
1/4 teaspoon cumin |
1/2 teaspoon oregano |
2 cloves garlic, pressed |
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients. Allow to sit overnight in the refrigerator. 2. Form into patties as with other sausage, or crumble and fry. |
