Got this recipe from a Sugar Bowl cookbook. Tried it out one day when I was out of Hershey's and it works great. Son loves it. Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
1 cup water |
3 tablespoons cocoa |
1 pinch salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, water, cocoa and salt in a medium saucepan. 2. Bring to a boil over medium heat. 3. Boil for two minutes, stirring constantly. 4. Remove from heat and add vanilla. 5. Allow to cool completely. 6. Serve as you would on anything that you need Hershey's syrup for. |
