This is a great alternative to the real thing...use in any recipe that calls for Cheese Whiz. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs american processed cheese |
13 ounces evaporated milk |
1 tablespoon butter |
2 egg yolks |
1 tablespoon flour |
Directions:
1. In a double boiler melt butter add cheese. 2. When softened mix in the egg yolks, evaporated milk and flour; cook,stirring until thickened. 3. Cool then transfer to a covered jar and store in the refrigerator. |
