Homemade Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal With Brown Sugar |

This will sort of taste like apple crisp but as an oatmeal with a lovely cinnamon flavor. The fresh apples give it a really delicious boost. Ingredients:
3 cups one-minute cooking oats (quick cooking oats) |
1 1/2 cups milk |
1 1/2 cups water |
dash of cinnamon |
fresh apples (cored & diced) |
1/2 cup applesauce |
hint of brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Boil water & milk together in a pot or saucepan. 2. Stir in oats until thickened. 3. Stir in cinnamon, applesauce, apples & brown sugar. Allow to cook a further few minutes until apples soften. 4. When prepared, put oatmeal in bowls. 5. This will make 4-5 servings. 6. If you don't want to use brown sugar, try maple syrup, maple sugar or grated apple. 7. You can substitute soy or rice milk for the dairy milk if desired. |
