Very easy to make,and delicous! Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
2/3 cup milk |
1 tablespoon light corn syrup |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 cup unblanched almonds, toasted |
Directions:
1. In 2 quart heavy saucepan,Combine sugar, milk, corn syrup, and salt. 2. Cook,stirring constantly until sugar dissolves& mixture comes to a boil. 3. Cook without stirring to soft ball stage (234). 4. Remove from heat& add butter, do not stir. 5. Let cool til lukewarm,& add vanilla. 6. Beat until mixture thickens& spread is creamy. 7. Add the toasted almonds. 8. Spread about 1/2 inch thick on wax paper lined baking sheet. 9. Let cool before break into pieces. |
