Ingredients:
5 tablespoon(s) all-purpose flour |
5 tablespoon(s) butter |
1/3 cup(s) chopped onion |
5 cup(s) milk |
1/2 teaspoon(s) pepper |
1 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt |
6 cup(s) thinly sliced potatoes |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, saute onion in the butter until tender. Stir in the flour, salt and pepper until blended. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until sauce is thickened. 2. Place half of potatoes in a greased 3 qt. baking dish. Pour half of sauce over potatoes. Repeat layers. Bake, uncovered, at 350F for 60-70 minutes or until potatoes are tender and top is lightly browned. Serve immediately. |
