1/2 cup raw spaghetti broken into 1 inch pieces ( ex: use angel hair |
pasta) |
3/4 cup white rice, uncooked |
1 - 14 1/2 oz can of broth, any kind you like such as chicken, beef, vegetable |
2 tbsp butter,oil or margarine |
chopped onion and garlic as you like |
herbs of choice |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. In medium skillet saute spaghetti pieces in butter with onion and 2. garlic, stirring constantly, until the spaghetti begins to brown. 3. Add rice, stirring until the rice is well coated with the butter and the 4. spaghetti browns a little more. 5. Carefully pour in broth. 6. Add herbs. 7. Cover and simmer until liquid is absorbed (about 12-15 minutes). |
