So when I first found out how this carmel was made I said that there was no way that it could have been made out of a can that has been boiled for 3 hours. I got this recipe from my Mother in-law. I Love to bring this over to friends houses in just the can, and then open it up once we are ready to eat it for them to be in such shock that the carmel was made this way. Enjoy this Recipe just as much as I do as well as my family and friends.
Ingredients:
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (use only eagle brand)
1 pint heavy whipping cream
1 (20 ounce) can diced pineapple
Directions:
1. put the UN-OPENED can of Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk into a pot of boiling water, making sure that the can is always submerged in water at all times; cook it for 3 hours.
2. Once done, let it cool down and eat it the next day.
3. This caramel will last up to 3 weeks in the fridge.
4. When ready to eat place in a bowl and open both ends of the can and push down one side of the can into a bowl.
5. Serve with whipping cream and pineapple.
