Tried and true. Very easy but very tasty. You won't be disappointed Ingredients:
3 medium baking potatoes |
1 large white onion sliced thin |
3-1/2 tablespoons bacon drippings |
1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Peel potatoes and place in a medium pan with enough cold water to cover them. 2. Bring to a boil over medium heat then drain potatoes and refrigerate. 3. While chilled cut into thin slices. 4. In medium cast iron skillet sauté onions in bacon drippings then add potatoes. 5. Add seasonings and periodically shake pan over medium heat until potatoes are golden all over. 6. Serve hot. |
